A submission for KLickr’s 24 Hour KL showcase which the idea was to capture the life of 24 different KL-ites, focusing on their professions, especially those with interesting behind-the-scene work.

My subject was Abang Yun. Abang Yun been street basking for more than 20 years to support his family. Damansara Uptown been his work place for almost 13 years. He lives in Gombak where he said is the place of the Minang descendants. In his 20 years of basking, he has played in different places. He used to play in Hotels and Pubs as well but now he plays in Damansara Uptown and few places in Johor Bharu. Abang Yun is in his fifties but doesnt look his age. He has five children with the youngest is 5 years old and the eldest is 24 years old. During the day time, he will spend his time looking for new songs and remembering the lyrics. He said, if you have a book stand with the lyrics, it doest feel like a live show. He said that he will keep on basking as long as he can…
